Private sports hospitality for AFCON 2027

One month. One journey. One final.

Twende 27 hosts small groups through the whole arc of it: premium city stays, Maasai Mara safari, Zanzibar. Led by the local diaspora, on the ground in all three host countries. You arrive. We carry the rest.

Chapter I · Zanzibar · 18 June

It begins on the island.

Stone Town to the sandbanks

History at breakfast. Turquoise by noon.

Spice-route lanes and carved doors in the old town, dinner on a rooftop above the harbour, then a private catamaran out to water that turns four shades of blue. The tournament has not started, and the trip is already unforgettable. The night before kick-off, we cross to the mainland.

Matchday minus one
Island night, Forodhani
Stone Town, sunset dhow, night-market feast
Opening match
19.06.27 · 17:00 EAT
Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, Dar es Salaam, 60,000
Chapter II · Dar es Salaam · opening week

Cross the water. Feel the roar.

The opening whistle

The city rises to meet the tournament.

The ferry cuts in from the island as Dar fills with flags. Oceanfront residences on the Masaki peninsula, the opening match under lights at Benjamin Mkapa with your ticket already in your phone, then the waterfront until the city gives in.

  • Masaki, oceanfront residences on the peninsula
  • Opening match and a group-stage matchday, walked in, never queued
  • The Slipway and the waterfront clubs, tables we reserve before you land
Chapter III · past Kilimanjaro, to the Mara

Fly the wild road north.

Migration season, July

The greatest show on earth. The other one.

Kilimanjaro out of the window as you fly north, then the Maasai Mara at the height of the great migration. A five-star lodge with an infinity pool over the plains, or a celebrated luxury camp if you would rather sleep under canvas. Private chef, dawn drives, a million wildebeest, and no crowds. Two days that reset everything before the football turns serious.

  • Five-star lodge or luxury camp, your choice, both exceptional
  • Private game drives at dawn and dusk, river crossings in season
  • Bush dining by fire, and a night sky no city can show you
Chapter IV · Nairobi · semi-final week

Westlands after dark.

Semi-final · Talanta Sports City

Now it gets loud.

Back to the capital as the tournament sharpens to a point. A penthouse in Westlands, rooftop dinners, the city's best rooms with your table already held, then 60,000 people inside the new Talanta Sports City as the semi-final erupts.

Semi-final week
Mid July 2027 · Nairobi
Expected at Talanta Sports City, 60,000. CAF confirms venues and fixtures nearer the tournament, so we plan the week around the city, never around a fixture we cannot promise.
That morning
Nairobi National Park
Rhino before breakfast. The only capital on earth with a national park.
Chapter V · Dar es Salaam · 17 July

The final. Under the lights.

Full time

The biggest night in African football.

A rooftop tailgate in Masaki, a secure convoy to Benjamin Mkapa, and ninety minutes that might run to a hundred and twenty, might go to penalties, might become history. Whoever lifts it, you were there, fifty-one years in the making. Then the closing party, and we do not do last calls.

The Final
17.07.27 · 20:00 EAT
Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, Dar es Salaam. Category 1 and skybox via our channel.

Why book with us

A professional operator, based where it matters.

Twende 27 is a specialist sports-hospitality company led by the local diaspora, operating year-round across Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania, and holding ourselves to EU standards of service, safety and contract. We hold direct relationships with the region's leading lodges, fleets and venues, we inspect everything in person before a guest arrives, and every booking will run on a written contract. We are building this in the right order: protection first, sales second.

i.A dedicated safe driverEvery guest, every day. Vetted, professional, on call all week, with your host one message away.
ii.An on-the-ground hostOne per group, there as much or as little as you want. Never a shadow, always a lifeline.
iii.Optional securityAvailable whenever you want it, on matchdays or all week. Offered, never imposed.
iv.Private chef & daily cleanerAvailable for villa and apartment stays. Hotels and lodges carry their own full service.
i.We sell nothing until we can sell it properlyNo trip goes on sale, and no money is taken, until the company is registered and the correct consumer travel protection is in place. Registration and licence numbers get published here before the first booking, not after.
ii.Your money will be protected by law, not by our wordUK travel rules exist so a traveller gets refunded and brought home if an operator fails. We will meet them before we take a deposit. Until then this is a waitlist and nothing more.
iii.Insured before anyone travelsPublic liability on every booking and flying-doctor evacuation cover for every guest, confirmed in writing before a trip is confirmed.
iv.A contract, not a promiseWritten terms with every booking: inclusions, refund schedule, and a line that answers.

Getting there

Your only job is to arrive.

Book your long-haul to the airport below, and from the second you land it is ours: every transfer, every mile on the ground. You book every flight yourself, long-haul and internal, and we tell you exactly which ones, with dates and airports, then meet every single one of them.

Opening Week
Fly into Dar es Salaam (DAR) or Zanzibar (ZNZ)
Home from the same. One simple return ticket.
Finals Week
Fly into Nairobi (NBO), home from Dar es Salaam (DAR)
One open-jaw ticket. We spell out exactly what to book, down to the flight numbers.
Internal flights
You book, we specify and meet
Every hop between Kenya, Tanzania and Zanzibar is booked by you, separately, on our exact instructions. Keeping flights in your name keeps you protected and keeps us honest.

The waitlist

First to know. Nothing to pay.

Takes about thirty seconds. No payment, no commitment, and you can leave at any time.

  • First access when trips go on sale, before anyone else
  • Founding-member pricing for the first group who join
  • You shape it: we build the itinerary around what the list asks for
  • Straight answers on tickets, costs and safety as we learn them

You are on the list. We will email you when dates, cities and prices are confirmed. No payment has been taken and nothing is owed.

We use your details only to email you about Twende 27. We never sell or share them, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe. Ask us to delete your details any time and we will.

This is a waitlist, not a booking. No payment is taken and no place is held. We are building this the correct way round: the trips are sold only once they sit behind proper UK consumer travel protection, and we will not take a penny before that is in place. Waitlist members hear first, and set the itinerary.

Questions

The honest answers.

How do match tickets work?

Plainly: CAF releases AFCON tickets close to the tournament, and for the last edition official hospitality opened only about two months before kick-off. Anyone promising guaranteed tickets a year out is selling something that does not exist yet, and we will not do that. We hold no allocation today. If we secure one, tickets are billed at face value with no markup. If we do not, that cost is never charged and the rest of your week stands. Your trip is the experience around the tournament.

How do I know you are legitimate?

Today, honestly, we are a waitlist. The company is being registered, and nothing goes on sale, and no money is taken, until it is registered and the correct UK consumer travel protection is in place. When that is done the registration number, the protection and the insurer are published on this page before the first booking, not after. You will always be able to speak with the team by video before paying anything.

What if my team does not qualify, or plays in another city?

Packages are city-based with team-flex. After the April 2027 draw you can move your Nairobi and Dar legs to follow your team, subject to availability, at no fee.

Which airport do I fly into, and are flights included?

No flights are included, and that is deliberate. You book every flight in your own name, long-haul and internal, so you keep your miles, your airline and your consumer protection. We tell you exactly what to book. Opening Week: in and out of Dar es Salaam (DAR) or Zanzibar (ZNZ). Finals Week: fly into Nairobi (NBO) and home from Dar es Salaam (DAR), a single open-jaw ticket we spell out for you, flight numbers included. From the moment you land, the ground is ours.

Is East Africa safe for this trip?

You are hosted by a resident team, moved in private chauffeured vehicles, and based in the premier districts of each city. Security is available on request, on matchdays or all week, and every guest will carry flying-doctor evacuation cover, confirmed in writing before a trip is confirmed.

When can I book, and what will the terms be?

Not yet, and we would rather say so than take your money early. Once the company is registered and the consumer protection is in place, the full terms are published here first: what is included, the refund schedule, and what protects your money if anything goes wrong. Waitlist members see them before anyone else.
